Tukaram Beej is the day when it is believed that Sant Tukaram bodily ascended to Vaikunth, the heavenly abode of Lord Vishnu.
In 2016, the date of Sant Tukaram Beej is march 25. It is seen on the second day of the krishna paksha (winding down period of moon) in the falgun or phalugna month (february – march) according to customary marathi date-book. On the day, devotees gather at Tukaba Mandir and at scared places at afternoon and perform different puja and rituals as a sign of appreciation to grate Sant.
Vithoba temple at Dehu village in maharashtra is the origin of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and thousands of people pay respect to Siant Tukaram here on the day.

Sant Tukaram was great writer he has written several poems on god and social life called as Abhanga.
Shri Tukaram was the personality who had been self developed with religious scriptures , available books , with the interaction of social thinkers and his self life experiences and achieved the mass psychology and express his views through the poems which touches the hearts of common people of this universe. he has done the work through kirtan for the common people and really struggled in social life and the situation at that time in vogue.
