Meena RashiHow to Read Today's Rashifal
- Know your Moon sign. Vedic rashifal is read from the rashi where the Moon sat at your birth, not from your Western Sun sign. Most people who follow panchang already know this rashi.
- Read the full prediction, not one line. Each sign page carries separate readings for love, career, money and health, plus a remedy and the day's timing windows.
- Time your day with the windows. Plan important work inside the lucky choghadiya window and keep new beginnings out of Rahu Kaal. That is the practical use of a daily rashifal.
Moon Sign vs Sun Sign
Newspaper horoscopes and Western sites run on the Sun sign, which is fixed by your birth date. Vedic jyotish reads everything from the Moon sign - the rashi the Moon occupied at your birth. The Moon changes rashi roughly every two and a quarter days, so two people born on the same date can carry different rashis.
Chandrabala, Tarabala, muhurat and the panchang all flow from the Moon sign. If you have been reading your Sun sign here out of habit, it is worth checking your Moon sign once - you may have been reading someone else's day.

How This Rashifal Is Made
BhaktiRas rashifal follows the Vedic Moon-sign (Chandra Rashi) method, the same basis used for panchang and muhurat. Planetary positions are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris (Lahiri ayanamsha); Chandrabala, Tarabala and gochar are derived from them, and each rashi's prediction is written from those computed facts, never pulled from a generic feed. The lucky windows you see are the same choghadiya periods a panchang would give you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is rashifal and how does it work?
Rashifal is the day's prediction for your Moon sign - the rashi where the Moon was placed when you were born. Planetary positions change every day, and the outlook for love, career, money and health is read from those movements.
Should I read my Sun sign or my Moon sign?
Vedic rashifal is always read from the Moon sign, not the Western Sun sign. Panchang, muhurat and Chandrabala are all calculated from the Moon sign too. If you know only your Sun sign, your rashi may be different, so it is worth checking once.
How do I find my rashi if I do not know it?
The reliable way is a birth chart from your date, time and place of birth - the free BhaktiRas kundali tool shows your rashi instantly. The traditional shortcut of matching the first letter of your name works only when the name was chosen from the birth nakshatra.
What time is the rashifal updated every day?
BhaktiRas rashifal refreshes for the new day shortly after midnight IST. You can also read tomorrow's rashifal and the weekly outlook in advance from each sign's page.
What is Chandrabala and why does it matter?
Chandrabala measures where the Moon is transiting counted from your rashi. Transits in the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th houses are considered favourable. This is why the same day feels supportive for some rashis and ordinary for others.
How are the lucky colour, number and time decided?
They are derived from the weekday lord, your rashi lord and the day's transits, and the lucky time comes from choghadiya calculation. Everything is computed from real planetary positions with the Swiss Ephemeris, not picked at random.
Can I read yesterday's or a future date's rashifal?
Yes. Every sign page has today, tomorrow, yesterday and weekly views, and any date can be opened directly from its own URL, so you can revisit or plan ahead.
