Nashik Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela 2015 
Today 29-August is first shahi snan (शाही स्नान) of Kumbh mela at Nashik. More than one crore devotees are expected. The Nashik Kumbh Mela is generally acknowledged to be the most sacred of all the festivals. As Kumbh Mela is celebrated in every twelve years in Nasik; last time it was celebrated in 2003, which resulted into an incredible festive season for the people of Maharashtra in particular and people of India in general. People get away from their routine schedules and experienced spiritual ecstasy during Kumbh days.

Bathing for purification from sin. it is also called as royal bathing.
